We’d like to say a quick thank you to all of our sponsors and supporters for helping to make this a great year for Juntos, and raising a great deal of money for Friends of Honduran Children.  Our grand total raised this year was $4,054.75!  None of this would have been possible without all of the local sponsors, volunteers, bakers, venues, supporters, friends and family.  Thank you all so much!

The money raised this year has gone towards paying for a van to transport young boys to and from the farm school.  They were being beaten up and mugged while going to and from school, so now with your help they will arrive safe and sound!

Please contact us with any inquiries, and we look forward to seeing you all again at Juntos – Together 2012!  Throughout the year, if you would still like to donate, our donation link will remain active, and every little bit will help to reach next year’s goal.

Family Event @ Johnny eh’s Feb. 4, 1-4pm

Join us at Johnny Eh’s, located at 320 Water Street (Beside Galaxy Cinemas) for an afternoon of educational activities and fun for all ages!  We’ll be doing planting, crafts, learning Spanish, and making cards to send to children in Honduras.  Spend your PA day afternoon with us and have an awesome time!

Free admission; $2 per child/per activity

Bake sale:  Our bake sale did so well yesterday that we are continuing it tomorrow at Johnny eh’s!  Cupcakes, cookies, muffins, and the famous banana bread!  Get them while they last!

Stay for Lunch and a portion of the cost of your meal will go straight to Juntos!

Special PINGO Game @ the Pig’s Ear Feb. 4, 9pm

The Pig’s Ear Tavern is located at 144 Brock Street and for the second time ever, Mr. John Punter will be calling an Early Game of PINGO in support of Juntos!

100% of all Donations will go directly to Juntos!

The Main Event @ the Trash Feb. 4, 10pm-2am

The second annual “Juntos @ the Trash”, located at 123 Simcoe Street, will include 2 levels of entertainment for $5 per person.

In the Main Room ~ POP Night with DJ Steve Hancock and DJ Grizz.

In the ATTIC (above the Trash) ~ Bands and DJs TBA.

100% of all donations, cover charges, raffles, ect will go straight to Juntos!

Bake Sale @ Trent! (Feb. 2)

On Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 we will be holding a bake sale on campus at Trent University.

Stop by The Otonabee College Cafe in the afternoon from 1 to 3pm for some homemade tasty treats in support of Juntos!

And yes, there will be the famous banana loaves from last year!
